GraceWriters was founded by Chikiya Balthrop in 2021. Grace Writers was established to help other aspiring writers pursue goals of becoming authors as well.

Chikiya Balthrop is a writer who seeks to help young people to know their worth and to know the unconditional love of God. She shares her experiences in the hopes that others will learn from them as she herself has learned.

Chikiya grew up in Petersburg, Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
